Yes. This is a photo of my first attempt at making chocolate sugar cookies. It made my kitchen a disaster. I hated it. So, years later I did it again, just differently.

The STORY

Hey y'all!

I thought maybe you would want to know exactly who Bonnie is and why in the hey her name is part of the business.

Here goes.

First, Bonnie is me. Hi! How's it going? Well I hope. :)

Second, Bonnie made it. was created by not being able to think of a business name. Lame, I know, but I hear people say, "Bonnie made it," when they tell someone who brought in a sweet treat. Yes, yes. It was me. Guilty. Your jeans won't thank me, but your taste buds will. Alas, this is Bonnie made it.

Now, onto why Bonnie made it. was created.

I LOVE CHOCOLATE!

Oh, sorry. That just slipped, but I do. And, if there are a plethora of chocolate flavored offerings, that is why. Really, though, aside from loving chocolate, I love to bake, and Imayhaveagiantsweettooth. (Ssssh. Pretend you didn't hear that part.) I also grew up tinkering around the kitchen watching my grandmother and mother make delicious homemade treats from angel food cakes to brownies to fudge. I may have been born with a rubber spatula in my hand. I should ask my mother about that, but you know...I am not sure if rubber spatulas were around in the 80's. Something to look up, I suppose. Anyway, the kitchen is where I find peace as well as an aid to my perfectionist tendencies. Recipes are just guidelines, right? Yes. Yes, they are. Don't try to tell me otherwise.

Since I've grown up (hahahaha), I have expanded on what I learned from the matriarchs of my family without forgetting what they taught me. The two most important things were:

a) Always put love into what you're making.

b) Always turn on music and dance in the kitchen.

Really. Those are the most important.

Right now I focus on making cupcakes, decorating sugar cookies, and baking drop cookies. I work a 40 hour a week job, so baking is my side hustle that gets done in the evenings and on weekends. I like to make other sweet offerings like fudge, buckeyes (okay, I don't like making them - just eating), and pies. I am not offering those for sale right now.  I also make cakes, but I those aren't being sold right now either. I need more time or to be cloned!

The sweet treats are all made using homemade vanilla. All chocolate cakes and cookies are made using Valrhona cocoa, Dutch processed cocoa with an intense flavor. You'll know you're eating chocolate! I am always open to new ideas, so if there is a flavor or specific sweet you have an interest in (brownies or gluten-free for instance), please send an email, and I'll be happy to see what I can do!

Currently, ordering is only available in the state of Ohio, as Bonnie made it. is a cottage food business at this time. One day (hopefully in the near future), a storefront will be open!

So, it was nice to website meet you, or well, jabber to you about myself and my business. I hope you'll give us a try!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
